Oakville’s seniors’ centres kick off fall season with Open House Week

Starting September 4, Oakville residents are invited to visit their local seniors’ centres during Open House Week to find out about new and diverse programs and services, as well as volunteer opportunities, upcoming special events and day trips. Open House Week offers Oakville residents 50+ and their families the opportunity to tour the seniors’ centres, pick up brochures, and speak face-to-face with program instructors, staff and volunteers.

Dates and times of Open House Week 2012:

Tuesday, September 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Iroquois Ridge Older Adult Centre
Iroquois Ridge Community Centre

Wednesday, September 5 from 10 a.m. to noon
Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors

Meet the Teacher session is offered to enable participants to become familiar with instructors before they register for a class. Complimentary refreshments will be served. For details call 905-815-5960.

Thursday, September 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Friday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to noon

Registration for fall and winter seniors’ services programs begins Friday, September 7 at 9 a.m.
