“Together we’re planning and building a future that will define Oakville long after us,” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. “Over the next four years we’ll complete the “greenprint” for a sustainable future and continue our quest in becoming the most livable town in Canada.”

With guests including Justice C. W. Special appearances were also made by Pipe Major Allan Eaton, harpist Sharlene Wallace, singer Stephanie Barone and Town Crier Chris Pedersen.

At the meeting, the 2011 Council and Standing Committee schedule of meetings was approved, and Council appointments to the various advisory boards and committees were announced.  View the 2011 meeting dates and detailed list of Council appointments on the Mayor and Councillor’s web page.
