Last chance for tickets to the 2014 Community Spirit Awards
The Weather Network’s Chris Mei to host celebration of Oakville’s community champions
Only one week left to purchase tickets to the 13th Annual Community Spirit Awards — an evening to honour Oakville’s dedicated volunteers hosted by Chris Mei of The Weather Network.
The award ceremony and reception will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre located at 2302 Bridge Road.
Tickets for the event are available for $15 each through the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. Visit the Oakville Centre website or call the box office at 905-815-2021, Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no reserved seating for this event.
The winners will be announced in eight award categories including: Access, Arts, Environmental, Group Volunteer, Heritage and History, Individual Volunteer, Senior, and Youth. Each winner will receive a specially-designed award by celebrated illustrator/artist Soyeon Kim. The awards are currently on display at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.
