Enjoy pipes, plaid and pageantry at Oakville Museum

Echoes of Erchless returns July 13

What better way to kick off the summer than with the classic sound of bagpipes, the banging of drums and the energy of Scottish dancers! The Oakville Museum is excited to present the return of the popular Echoes of Erchless summer outdoor concert series on Saturday, July 13, 2013 starting at 7 p.m.

The free concert will feature a performance by the internationally renowned Halton Regional Police Service Pipes and Drums band, followed by the talented Chisholm Dancers, and traditional music from the British Isles and Canada.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy great music and cooling lake breezes on the beautiful grounds of Erchless Estate. The concert will come to a close at dusk with a special flag lowering ceremony dedicated to Canada’s veterans and serving troops.

The concert will take place weather permitting. A second concert date is planned for Saturday, August 24, 2013. The Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate is located at 8 Navy Street in the heart of downtown Oakville. For more information please visit the Oakville Museum page or call 905-338-4400.
