Waterdown and Rick Martin

Waterdown, a village which grew up around the mills of Smokey Hollow Waterfalls, gained its name from the water of Grindstone Creek plunging down the Niagara Escarpment, thus, Waterdown. Smokey Hollow Falls is also commonly known as Great Falls and can be accessed via the Bruce Trail as well as off of Mill St. It has year round flow and a 33 foot drop, as well as a beautifully maintained park.

The Waterdown Legion plays a vital role in fundraising and supporting the Waterdown community. All are welcome and the Legion has much to offer with Hall rentals, special events and a sincere commitment to our veterans. A ladies auxiliary hosts crafts shows, weekly entertainment and participates in dart and euchre tournaments.

The Royal Coachman Pub is located in the heart of downtown Waterdown. Their mantra is to ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ and you won’t have trouble doing that here. A cheery British ambiance, good company and good food can always be found at the Coachman.
