Are you on the Voters’ List? Voter notification cards arriving this week

Advance voting dates start October 4. Voting Day is October 25.

Starting this week, voter notification cards will arrive in the mail of all eligible voters in Oakville. If you are an eligible voter and do not receive a card by the end of September, please call 905-815-6015, or visit the Clerk’s department at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road to ensure your name is on the voters’ list.

Voting Day for the 2010 Municipal Election is on Monday, October 25, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are unable to vote on Voting Day you may vote on any of the advance voting dates.

All advance voting locations are physically accessible and have accessible voting equipment. Voters may cast a ballot at any advance voting location regardless of where they reside in the Town of Oakville. 

All voters will be asked for identification before voting. To vote in the Oakville Municipal Election you must be Canadian citizen; at least 18 years of age on Voting Day and a resident, owner or tenant of property in Oakville or the spouse of such owner or tenant.

If you are not able to vote on Voting Day or any of the advance voting days, please call the Clerk’s department to obtain information on proxy voting at 905-815-6601.
